Bevan Group, a leading specialist in the commercial vehicle body build sector, has completed the production of over 200 fleet vehicles for SGB, one of the worlds primary suppliers of access and formwork equipment to the construction industry.

Over the past twelve months, Bevan Group has built all of the larger vehicles in the SGB fleet, including its 26 and 32 tonne flat-bed, multi-axle rigid models. The supply of these vehicles represents one of the final steps in the total re-brand of the SGB Group, with all new vehicles now boasting the updated brand.

Bevan Group complete build and re-brand of 200 fleet vehicles for world leader SGBCommenting on the new fleet Geof Driscoll, Divisional Transport Manager for SGB Access UK Contracts Division said “We are very pleased with our new fleet. We have received a host of positive comments from both clients and suppliers and there is no doubt that the new vehicles have boosted our strong brand reputation.

By working closely with the technical engineers and sales team at the Bevan Group our concept of hand-rail systems and access ladders for staff working at height has been made a reality. The quality bodywork and the additional features of the vehicle have helped make the transportation of our equipment both safer and more efficient.

Anthony Bevan, Managing Director of the Bevan Group, explains the features added to the vehicles. “Working in tandem with SGB, we have designed bespoke, robust vehicles that will ideally suit the organisations many requirements.  Special features include toughened headboards behind each cab that will help prevent the usual wear and tear associated with transporting scaffolding. We have also positioned lashing points across each truck bed and there are a series of recessed sockets on every vehicle that allow a length of scaffold pole to be inserted vertically to help hold the load in place during transportation”
